Dunfermline Athletic's Scottish Championship play-off hopes stalled again as they were held to a goalless draw by Dundee at East End Park.

The visitors had most of the chances, but Ewan Henderson almost swept in a late winner for Dunfermline only for Liam Fontaine to block his shot.

The draw means Stevie Crawford's side remain fifth, one point outside the play-offs.

Dundee are third, five points clear of their opponents with three games left.

With Hearts already crowned champions, both sides are fighting for the three play-off spots which provide a pathway to the top-flight.

Dunfermline, though, are without a win in six league matches, a run which has caused them slip out of the top four.

James McPake's Dundee are in a more commanding position, as they aim to secure second spot.
