Hearts' lead at the top of the Scottish Championship has been cut to 11 points after they were held at home by Morton.
The visitors took the lead early in the second half through Craig McGuffie's low strike and continued to frustrate their hosts.
However, Robbie Neilson's men levelled with 19 minutes remaining when Jamie Walker met Armand Gnanduillet's cross to score his 50th goal for the club.
The point edges Morton up to seventh place in the division.
Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson: "I thought we dominated the game but didn't take opportunities - we had 26 shots at goal but only scored once. That tells the story of the game.
"It's another point on the board but we've only got ourselves to blame."
Morton interim manager Anton McElhone: "I'm happy we stopped the losing streak we're on. This is one of the toughest places in the country to come and we showed determination and desire.
"It's damn tough here. You see the players they have and the money they're paying. No-one is giving us a chance, but we'll just push on."
