Greenock Morton 0-2 Ayr United: Cammy Smith double seals win for visitors

Cammy Smith's double took managerless Ayr United out of the Scottish Championship's bottom two and sent Greenock Morton into the relegation play-off spot.

After a scoreless first half, Smith struck 10 minutes into the second period to break the deadlock.

And Smith fired his and Ayr's second three minutes from time.

Aidan Nesbitt had come close to a leveller for Morton, who are a point off Ayr and six in front of Alloa.
