Roddy MacGregor missed a golden first-half chance for Inverness Caley

Neil McCann is still waiting for his first win as Inverness Caledonian Thistle interim manager after a goalless stalemate with Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship.

Caley Thistle have now gone six games without victory, four under McCann.

They were left to rue a number of missed chances in an entertaining game.

The draw moves the hosts two places above second-bottom Arbroath on goal difference, while second-top Raith are 13 points behind Hearts.

Gozie Ugwu and Frankie Musonda threatened for Raith before Inverness almost took the lead when Daniel Mackay's goalbound effort was cleared off the line and Roddy MacGregor could not force home the loose ball.

The closest either side came to breaking the deadlock came after 62 minutes as home defender Sean Welsh headed against the base of a post from David Carson's cross.

Two minutes later Jamie MacDonald produced an excellent save to deny Shane Sutherland as he tried to chip the Raith goalkeeper.

At the other end Mark Ridgers made an excellent save from Dylan Tait to ensure the points were shared.
