Newport County's promotion hopes were dealt a blow after a 1-0 loss to Leyton Orient in League Two.
Conor Wilkinson netted the only goal of the game at Cardiff City Stadium, turning in a cross from Daniel Kemp on the hour mark.
His close-range effort was originally flagged for offside but later overruled by the referee.
Wales international Joe Ledley made his first appearance for Newport from the bench having signed in the week.
Michael Flynn's side remain in the hunt for promotion despite today's result and Tuesday's loss at Port Vale, but they do have games in hand over their rivals.
Leyton Orient rise to 13th.
Flynn told BBC Sport Wales: "We played some really good stuff first half, but the second half our decision making was non-existent.
"We dominated the ball today, it was just frustrating we didn't do enough with it.
"It all comes down to me, I get the accolades when things go well and when things go bad it's all my fault, but they [the players] have got to take some responsibility because some of the things I saw in the second half was embarrassing really."
