Scott Allan teed up Scott Allardice to break the deadlock from a close-range indirect free-kick

Inverness Caledonian Thistle moved back into the Scottish Championship play-off places after securing a sixth consecutive victory at Greenock Morton.

Two goals in two first-half minutes had the visitors in control, as Scott Allardice smashed home from a close-range free-kick before Nikolay Todorov doubled the lead.

Robbie Muirhead pulled a goal back on the hour for the hosts.

But Todorov's second of the night and Daniel MacKay's strike killed the game.

The victory lifts Neil McCann's side to fourth, opening up a two-point cushion over Dunfermline Athletic - who have played a game fewer - as Morton drop down into the relegatio zone on goal difference.
