Hearts are now winless in their last six away games

Greenock Morton went level on points with Ayr United but remain in the relegation play-off place after a goalless draw with Scottish Championship title winners Hearts.

Kalvin Orsi struck the post in the first minute and had a goal ruled offside for the home side.

Hearts dominated the ball but Armand Gnanduillet had their only shot on goal early in the second half.

Both sides struggled to create chances on the dry Cappielow turf.

Sean McGinty and Brian McLean had close-range efforts collected easily by Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon in the opening period.

The draw means Morton trail Ayr on goal difference, and Arbroath by two points, with two matches left.

Hearts maintain their eight-point gap over Raith Rovers at the top.
