The Scottish Cup semi-final between St Mirren and St Johnstone will be live on BBC One Scotland on Sunday, 9 May.

The Hampden contest kicks off at 14:15 BST and sees League Cup winners St Johnstone attempt to move within one win of a trophy double.

The other last-four tie, between Dundee United and Hibernian, takes place at Hampden the previous day at 16:00 and will be be shown by Premier Sports.

Both ties will be live on Sportsound and on the BBC Sport website, too.

St Johnstone, St Mirren and Hibs reached the last eight on penalties.

St Mirren completed the line-up on Monday when they edged past Kilmarnock following a 3-3 thriller at Rugby Park.

On Sunday, United beat hosts Aberdeen 3-0 before St Johnstone triumphed over Rangers following their dramatic 1-1 draw at Ibrox.

Hibs were held 2-2 by visitors Motherwell before squeezing through on Saturday.

The final on 22 May will also take place at an empty national stadium after the Scottish FA reportedly failed with efforts to find an alternative venue., external

United won the cup for the second time in 2010, four years before St Johnstone's first tournament success. St Mirren last lifted the trophy in 1987.

Of the remaining sides, Hibs are the most recent winners, defeating Rangers in 2016 to end a 114-year wait for the trophy.
