Swansea City have agreed a four-year deal for Wigan striker Kyle Joseph.

Scotland Under-19 international Joseph has scored five goals in 20 appearances - 13 of which have been starts - having broken into the Wigan first team during the 2020-21 season.

The 19-year-old's contract with the League One club expires this summer, but Swansea will pay around £500,000 plus add-ons as he is under 24.

Swansea are also interested in forward Thomas Henry and midfielder Liam Walsh.

The Championship club are keen to bolster their attacking options this summer having gone through much of last season without a natural centre-forward in their squad, and Joseph become the Swans' first recruit ahead of the 2021-22 Championship campaign.

The deal is subject to English Football League, Football Association of Wales and Football Association clearance.

Andre Ayew, Swansea's leading scorer in the last two campaigns, was released earlier this month with his lucrative contract about to come to an end.

The Welsh club are also keen on Frenchman Henry, who plays in Belgium for OH Leuven, though it may be that the former Nantes player is beyond their reach financially.

Henry scored 21 goals in 31 appearances in the Belgian top flight last season.

Former England Under-18 international Walsh, 23, is a free agent after being released by Bristol City.
