Blackpool have signed Doncaster Rovers left-back Reece James, Manchester City goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw and Northern Ireland striker Shayne Lavery.

James, 27, turned down a new deal with Rovers and will join the Championship newcomers on a three-year contract as a free agent on 1 July.

City academy graduate Grimshaw, 23, joins Blackpool on a two-year contract with the option of a further year.

Lavery, 22, arrives on a two-year deal from Irish champions Linfield.

The forward, capped seven times by his country, scored 47 goals in 77 games during his time with Linfield, and netted 30 times this season on the way to a league and cup double.

"I feel like I've proved myself back home this season and I'm now looking to test myself at the next level," said Lavery, whose deal also includes a further year's option.

"Playing in the Championship was something that I'd set out to do following what had happened in the season, so it was a massive pull to come here," James told the club website., external

Grimshaw added: "I've worked really hard in my career to get to this point, and I want to progress further here."
