Claudia Walker: West Ham Women sign former Birmingham City striker

West Ham have signed Claudia Walker after her contract at Women's Super League rivals Birmingham City expired.
The striker, 25, has agreed a two-year deal in east London, with an option for a third year, after two seasons at Birmingham.
Walker was Blues' top scorer in 2020-21, with five goals in 21 WSL games.
"The ambition the club has is something that I feel I can not only add value to, but something that I really wanted to be a part of," she said.
West Ham will be the fourth WSL club that Walker has played for, after spells at Liverpool and Everton earlier in her career.
She is the Hammers' third summer signing following the arrivals of Australia international Tameka Yallop and American midfielder Zaneta Wyne.
"Claudia is somebody who I have admired since coming to England.," said West Ham manager Olli Harder.
"The things that she does off the ball are exceptional and she works extremely hard for her team.
"As I've said before, the culture of this club is all about playing for the team and we want people who embody that, and we believe Claudia will do that."
