Linfield have won three Irish League titles in a row

Linfield have been drawn to face Lithuanian champions Zalgiris Vilnius in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

The Irish Premiership champions will be away in the first leg on 6 or 7 July, with the second leg staged at Windsor Park on 13 or 14 July.

League of Ireland winners Shamrock Rovers will play Slovan Bratislava.

If Linfield progress they will play either Ferencváros of Hungary or the preliminary round winner.

The teams in the preliminary round are SS Folgore of San Marino, Kosova's FC Prishtina, HB Tórshavn of the Faroe Islands and Andorra's Inter Club d'Escaldes.

Should Linfield reach the second qualifying round, they will play the first leg away on 20/21 July, with the second leg at Windsor Park on 27/28 July.

If Shamrock Rovers overcome their Slovakian opponents in the first qualifying round, they will face Young Boys of Switzerland in the second stage and would be at home in the firs leg.

The losers of the first qualifying round ties will progress to the Uefa Europa Conference League Champions Path second qualifying round, the draw for which will also be held on Wednesday.

Linfield lost 1-0 to Legia Warsaw in the first qualifying round of the Champions League last year - the tie played over just one leg.

After then entering the draw for the Europa League second qualifying round, David Healy's side were beaten 1-0 at home by Maltese club Floriana.

Linfield have never played Lithuanian opposition before.
