Inter Milan, Roma, Juventus and Napoli are the latest clubs to express an interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to The i Paper.

AC Milan were already keen to sign the Denmark forward this summer, following United's capture of Slovenia international Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Sources told BBC Sport last week that AC Milan are willing to pay an initial 4m euros (£3.47m) loan fee, with an additional option to buy next summer for 40m (£34.7m).

  3. It's 'fascinating to see' if Grealish's move will work outpublished at 10:26 British Summer Time

BBC's football reporter Simon Stone discussed Jack Grealish's loan move to Everton on BBC 5 Live Breakfast, sharing his thoughts on whether the move would be a good fit for the player:

"Well, it's interesting isn't it because on the face of it, you wouldn't have thought that David Moyes and Jack Grealish were the kind of the obvious partnership," said Stone.

"But David Moyes, he likes to play football in a certain way as we all know. He likes players who work back as well as go forward as we all know.

"So, it would be fascinating to see whether or not this works out.

"I mean Grealish, two years ago he was the main stay of the Manchester City side that won the treble but he's hardly played since then.

"David Moyes is aware of that, yet Everton has still pushed this deal through and clearly if Grealish wants to go to the World Cup which is at the end of this season, then he has to start preforming at the levels that we know he's capable of and if he does that, then you'd assume that Everton and Moyes gain from that.

"But I don't think Moyes is going to kind of allow Jack Grealish to just go and only play an attacking style of football and not do any defending, it would just be fascinating to see the way it works out."

  6. Amass talking to Sheff Wedpublished at 10:17 British Summer Time

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport chief football news reporter

Manchester United youngster Harry Amass is talking to Sheffield Wednesday about a possible loan deal.

Despite winning the club's Young Player of the Year award last season, United have decided to let Amass spend the campaign elsewhere following the arrival of Paraguay Under-20 international Diego Leon.

On the face of it, Wednesday wouldn't seem the most stable environment for a young player to drop into but there is no loan fee involved - which the club couldn't pay anyway due to EFL rules - and the overriding desire for the 18-year-old this season is to play regularly.

There are still other options for Amass to consider but Wednesday is one.

So far, Newcastle's pre-season has been a nightmare. There is no other way of describing it.

They have had a disastrous transfer window, missing out on every one of their top targets they went for, and on top of that they have got Alexander Isak's situation hanging over them as they get ready for the opening weekend.

One way or another they have to resolve it, but that won't be easy. Isak clearly wants to leave St James' Park and join Liverpool, but he cannot be sold if they don't get anyone in to replace him.

It's not just one new striker Newcastle need, either. Callum Wilson moved on earlier in the summer so the reality is that if they don't get two centre-forwards in, Isak does not go anywhere.

That is still a possible scenario and, if he is still at Newcastle when the window closes at the start of September, things get interesting because he will want to play - he could be playing for his 2026 World Cup place with Sweden.

There are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes surrounding Isak at the moment, but over the next two or three weeks we will find out a lot more about how things could pan out.

  11. Isak's 'ambition' to join Liverpool this summerpublished at 09:50 British Summer Time

BBC Sport sources say it is the Sweden striker's ambition to join the Premier League champions before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

Newcastle have already rejected a £110m bid from Liverpool after the striker wanted to explore his options but Arne Slot’s side have not yet returned with an improved bid.

The Magpies open their Premier League campaign away to Aston Villa on Saturday lunchtime but Isak is not expected to be involved.

Last week, boss Eddie Howe said it is "clear" that he "can't involve” Isak as things stand.

Chelsea have offered several players to RB Leipzig for midfielder Xavi Simons, including Christopher Nkunku.

It's part of the complex negotiations with the Blues keen to offload players having also offered both Carney Chukwuemeka and Tyrique George.

Any deal between the two clubs would not be a direct swap deal and would be related but separate transfers. It remains to be seen whether the German club deem it viable.

Sources close to Nkunku have also explained he is reluctant to join a club like Leipzig as he is aiming to play at Champions League level next season.

There is also admiration for Nkunku at Chelsea after his positive performances at the Club World Cup but he is believed to be searching for more than the bit-part role currently on offer at Stamford Bridge.

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is a transfer target for Tottenham, who are in need of another creative player following a serious knee injury to James Maddison.

Eze joined Palace from QPR five years ago for an initial £16m and has improved his goal and assists output in each of the past three seasons. That has been aided by his switch from the left wing to more central areas as one of two attacking midfielders in a 3-4-2-1 formation under Oliver Glasner.

The 27-year-old finished last season with a flourish, becoming the first player to score in six consecutive appearances for Palace since Darren Ambrose in November 2009. His 14 goals in all competitions included the FA Cup final winner as the club earned a first major trophy.

Ukraine international Illia Zabarnyi caught the eye during his 36 Premier League matches for Bournemouth last season and becomes the latest defender out the door at the Vitality Stadium.

It's another deal that shows the success of the recruitment team at Bournemouth, with a profit of around £30m made.

But fans will want to see that put back into the playing squad as they look to build on last season, with around £150m of defensive talent now sold this summer.
