St Johnstone have signed Millwall's Hayden Muller on a season-long loan and ex-Lions defender James Brown on a two-year deal.

Brown spent the final three months of last season on loan in Perth as Callum Davidson's side followed up League Cup success with Scottish Cup glory.

Centre-back Muller, 19, has made four appearances as a substitute, external for English Championship side Millwall.

Brown says last season's "special experience" prompted him to return.

"As soon as the gaffer made it clear he wanted me I was excited to get a deal done," he added.

"We also have European football to look forward to and we can't wait for the draw later this month to see who we get.

"This is a great time to be at St Johnstone and the gaffer and his coaching staff are great to work for."

St Johnstone manager Davidson is a former team-mate of Lions boss Gary Rowett and coached under him at The Den and at Stoke City.

Lions pair Danny McNamara and Isaac Olaofe also spent time on loan at McDiarmid Park last season.
