Women's Super League side Birmingham City have signed forwards Lucy Quinn and Sarah Ewens on two-year contracts.

Quinn, 29, has rejoined the club after two years at Tottenham, who released her earlier this summer.

"I definitely feel like a more senior player now and would like to show how much I have grown," she said.

Birmingham have paid Celtic an undisclosed fee for Ewens, 29, who scored 64 goals in 98 appearances for the Scottish side.

Last season the former Scotland Under-19 striker helped Celtic qualify for the Champions League as they came second in the league to Glasgow City, managed by now-Blues boss Scott Booth.

"I can't wait to get started. It is massive for me, coming down, and playing in the top league," she said., external

Quinn played 33 times for Blues in her first spell and made 34 WSL appearances for Spurs.
