The New Saints secured their biggest aggregate victory in Europe with another emphatic win over Kauno Zalgiris to advance in the Europa Conference League.

Leading 5-0 from the first leg in Lithuania, Saints were 3-0 up after 25 minutes through goals from Danny Redmond, Louis Robles and a Declan McManus header.

Leo Smith scored on 69 minutes, keeping up his record of scoring in every Euro game so far this season, before Danny Davies added a fifth five minutes later.

Zalgiris were no match for Saints although Brazilian Michael Thuique capitalised on a defensive mistake to score a late consolation.

Saints had all but sealed their place in the next round with with an impressive first leg win the previous week - the biggest European away win by a Cymru Premier side.

Anthony Limbrick's side will face Viktoria Plzen from the Czech Republic in the third qualifying round after they beat Belarusian club Dinamo Brest 4-2 on aggregate.

New Saints head coach Anthony Limbrick told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I thought we were as ruthless in the final third in this game as we were in the first game, which is really pleasing.

"I still think there's probably a bit more to come from us. The lads are disappointed they conceded a goal at the end.

"If you would have offered that scoreline then we would have been pleased. They trained really well this week and it would have been easy not to take the game properly and seriously, but you could tell we wanted to win at home."
