Preston North End have signed striker Josh Murphy on a season-long loan from Cardiff City and midfielder Ali McCann from St Johnstone on a four-year deal.
The 26-year-old Murphy worked with North End head coach Frankie McAvoy during his time with Norwich City.
Murphy joined the Bluebirds in 2018 for an £11m fee and has gone on to make 99 appearances for the club.
Northern Ireland international McCann, 21, arrives at Preston for an undisclosed fee.
Murphy has only played twice in the Carabao Cup so far this season for Cardiff.
"I'm really excited, I've always had tough games playing at Deepdale, I know the manager quite well," Murphy said.
"It's something I'm looking forward to. I know some of the players as well so it's an opportunity I'm excited for."
McCann progressed through St Johnstone's youth ranks and made his senior debut in 2018.
He has made more than 100 appearances for the Saints, with 43 of those coming last season when the club won the Scottish Cup and League Cup double.
Boss McAvoy said: "It's magnificent, it's a brilliant signing for Preston North End. He's one of the best young players in Scotland."
