Ayr United 3-1 Dunfermline Athletic: Managerless hosts earn win
- Published
The pressure was cranked up further on Dunfermline Athletic manager Peter Grant after his side were beaten by managerless Ayr United to remain bottom of the Scottish Championship.
Ayr, with Jim Duffy in charge following David Hopkin's departure, led within three minutes through Tomi Adeloye, and doubled their advantage midway through the half thanks to Cameron Salkeld.
Dunfermline rallied, Nikolay Todorov pulling one back within three minutes, but Ayr wrapped up the win after the break thanks to Adeloye's second.
The win moves Ayr up to seventh, four points clear of Dunfermline who are three points adrift at the bottom with one draw from their opening four matches.
