Newport County were held to a 2-2 draw by Exeter City despite twice going in front in an entertaining contest at St James Park.
Former Exeter loanee Robbie Wilmott fired in an early opener before Matt Jay levelled from close range.
Courtney Baker-Richardson's long-range effort re-established the Exiles' lead, but Sam Nombe equalised with a shot from a tight angle.
Exeter rise to ninth in League Two Exeter, with Newport 14th.
It remains to be seen whether this is a last game in charge for Newport caretaker boss Wayne Hatswell, with the Welsh club hoping to appoint a new boss soon.
Newport caretaker manager Wayne Hatswell:
"We seem to be involved in a few decent footballing games at the moment. I felt we played some great stuff, especially first half.
"I said to the group in there, they are starting to get a bit more of an understanding of each other.
"I am going to try to focus on the positives today. This is not an easy place to come to. I am not going to be too despondent - we have picked up a point away and now we have got to turn it into a win on Tuesday."
