North Wales Police (NWP) is appealing for help to identify four men in an investigation into alleged acts of violence against Torquay United fans.

Wrexham have already banned 12 football supporters and revoked season tickets after trouble flared during the 1-1 draw at their Racecourse Ground.

"They are not football fans," NWP dedicated football officer, PC Dave Evans, said.

"They have done the reputation of the club and town no favours."

NWP has released images of the four individuals sought and PC Evans added, "If you are one of those in the images, I would urge you to do the decent thing and contact us."

After the game on 30 October, Torquay United Supporters Trust said it had "received reports of coins, plastic and glass bottles, a lighter and coffee being thrown at Torquay fans".

The Devon side are also involved in the investigation and Torquay previously said they made an official complaint to the National League and informed the Football Association.

In a statement, Wrexham chief executive Fleur Robinson said: "We would like to thank North Wales Police for their work so far, and we are pleased we have been able to already take swift and firm action against some of those responsible for the incidents reported after the Torquay game.

'We can only reiterate that these individuals do not represent our football club and are not welcome at the Racecourse Ground."

The National League match was the first Wrexham home game that Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney attended since taking control of the club in February 2021.
