Raith Rovers heaped further pressure on Kilmarnock manager Tommy Wright with a narrow home win to stay second in the Scottish Championship.

Kilmarnock topped the table at the start of the month but a fourth defeat in five games now leaves them fourth.

Dario Zanatta's second-half penalty settled the outcome after a handball in the box.

Blair Alston wasted a good Kilmarnock chance before the break when he shot straight at Jamie MacDonald.

Both teams were off target with spectacular efforts, a Callum Hendry bicycle kick for Killie and Ethon Varian from the halfway line for Rovers as they held out to win 1-0.

John McGlynn's side are now unbeaten in 13 league games and sit a point behind Inverness Caledonian Thistle, with Kilmarnock five off the summit.
