Steven Lawless converted a penalty to bring Dunfermline level

Inverness Caledonian Thistle missed the chance to go to within a point of Scottish Championship leaders Arbroath by drawing at Dunfermline Athletic.

Billy Dodds' side led at the break after Shane Sutherland struck from Reece McAlear's pass.

Steven Lawless levelled from the penalty spot with 10 minutes left following David Carson's handball.

Coll Donaldson and Kevin O'Hara had late efforts saved for the Pars, who moved off bottom spot.

John Hughes' team are a point above Queen of the South, who have a game in hand. Kilmarnock can use their spare game to go two points above Inverness, with Arbroath holding a three-point lead as things stand.
