FA Cup highlights: Barnsley 5-4 Barrow (aet)

Championship strugglers Barnsley beat 10-man Barrow in an FA Cup thriller.

Mads Andersen headed in, and Barrow's Tom Beadling was sent off for a reckless tackle, before Jordan Williams poked home to make it 2-0 at the break.

Ollie Banks thundered in a free-kick and Anthony Glennon levelled but Devante Cole curled in for the hosts only for James Jones to equalise.

Carlton Morris made it 4-3 but Josh Kay sent it to extra time where Morris thumped home the winner for the Reds.

Defeat was harsh on League Two Barrow who ended up playing for more than 80 of the 120 minutes with 10 men after Beadling was sent off for a dreadful high tackle on Romal Palmer.

It looked like it was all over when Williams made it 2-0 just before half-time but Banks, son of former Barnsley midfielder Ian Banks, scored a fantastic free-kick from 30 yards to give Barrow hope.

Glennon, who was making his debut after joining on loan from Burnley on Friday, then finished a neat attack to make it 2-2 and set up an incredible final 10 minutes which featured a further four goals, including a wonderful last-minute equaliser from ex-Barnsley man Kay.

Carlton Morris has scored three goals in his past two appearances

Morris turned adroitly to score his second and his side's fifth in the first half of extra time and Barrow could not find a fourth equaliser to send the match to penalties.

Prior to this match, Barnsley, who have won twice in the league all season, had scored just 16 goals in 25 league and cup matches this campaign.
