St Johnstone have signed "talented and powerful striker" Theo Bair and former Manchester United youth Tom Sang.
Bair, 22, moves from MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps for an undisclosed fee on a contract until summer 2024.
While right-sided defender Sang, also 22, joins on loan from Cardiff City for the rest of the season.
The Perth side are bottom of the Scottish Premiership, two points adrift of Dundee, and have lost Bair's fellow new forward Nadir Ciftci to injury.
"I know he has the ability to score goals for us," Davidson said of Bair.
The Canadian has netted three times in 14 starts for Vancouver.
He will arrive in Scotland later this week and train with the squad before Saturday's visit of Dundee United.
Sang has made 16 first-team appearances for Cardiff and spent time on loan at Cheltenham Town.
"Tom has had a really good pathway in football and we are pleased to have concluded this loan deal," said Davidson.
"He will give us another option and he possesses the attributes to do well for us."
