Paul Mullin struck a brace with Jordan Davies and Ollie Palmer also scoring as promotion hopefuls Wrexham eased to victory over struggling Aldershot.

Mullin guided his shot home from a through-ball to open the scoring before the break at the Racecourse.

Davies provided the home highlight with a cross-shot after a quickly taken free-kick.

The third came from Palmer before Mullin added a second before Giles Phillips replied.

Wrexham rise three places to fourth in the National League, while Aldershot drop two spots to 20th, nine points above the relegation zone.

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson:

"It was good to follow up the midweek win at Chesterfield and I thought we controlled the game and had some great chances before we scored.

"But we were patient, the moment came with a terrific goal and… we possibly could have had more, but it was really disappointing to concede with the last kick of the game.

"We can't hide away from that, but it's a good day's work for us."
