Ayr United 0-1 Queen of the South: Bottom side earn win to narrow gap
- Published
Queen of the South gave themselves renewed hope of Scottish Championship survival with victory over Ayr United.
Aidan Fitzpatrick's first-half goal was enough to earn victory and move the Dumfries side to within a point of ninth-place Dunfermline Athletic.
It also means interim managers Willie Gibson and Grant Murray are still unbeaten in their two games in charge.
Lee Bullen's Ayr, meanwhile, stay eighth and are six points clear of Queens having played a game more.
