Fraser Murray and Blair Alston scored either side of half-time as Kilmarnock kept the pressure on Scottish Championship leaders Arbroath with victory at home to struggling Hamilton.

The hosts' first-half pressure paid off as Murray broke the deadlock when he slotted the ball low into the net from close range.

And former Hamilton midfielder Alston doubled their lead after the break.

It keeps Kilmarnock one point behind leaders Arbroath, who beat Dunfermline.
