Reece Cole and Nikolay Todorov scored as Dunfermline Athletic fought back to move level with Ayr United in the fight to avoid the Scottish Championship relegation play-off place.

Trailing to Aaron Muirhead's penalty, converted after Tomi Adeloye had been fouled by Coll Donaldson, the Fifers scored twice in the final 11 minutes.

Steven Lawless hit a post late on as Dunfermline moved nine points clear of bottom-of-the-table Queen of the South, who have three games left, and level on points with Ayr in eighth place.

Both those sides have two games remaining and have identical records. Should that remain the case, the two would play-off to see which would avoid the play-off.
