Crewe defender Travis Johnson is to leave the relegated League One club after they withdrew a contract offer.
The 21-year-old, whose contract expires this summer, had been offered a new deal by former Alex boss David Artell.
But he is now being released, external along with ex-Leeds midfielder Luke Murphy, keeper Will Jaaskelainen, Chris Porter, Scott Kashket, Tyreece Onyeka, Joe Robbins, Nathan Woodthorpe and Sam Booth.
Artell was replaced as boss by Alex Morris in April following relegation.
Johnson made 20 league appearances this season for the Alex, who finished bottom of League One.
Crewe's club statement confirming that Johnson can leave on a free transfer said that he "will be allowed to find a new club".
