Cymru Premier team The New Saints have signed Swansea City midfielder Dan Williams on loan for the rest of 2022-23

They have also brought in former Newcastle United winger Adam Wilson on a free transfer.

Williams, 21, signed a new deal with Swansea in January with the Swans having an option to keep him until 2024.

Wilson, 22, left Newcastle when his contract expired earlier this summer.

Head coach, Craig Harrison told Saints website: "Adam is a very exciting young player who has spent a long time at a Premier League football club, training and playing with some real quality players, coaches and managers."

Williams has been with his boyhood club Swansea since he was seven-years old, but has endured several injury issues, including a loan spell at Irish side Dundalk being cut short by an ankle injury.

Harrison added: "Dan has been at Swansea for a long time and has been in and around the first team for the last two to three years. His arrival brings more quality options in the midfield area and keeps competition very high.

"He has a very good range of passing, is very comfortable in possession and can also score goals from outside the box. He's a very good footballer and will fit in with the style of football that we want to play."
