Sam Stanton's first-half strike gave Raith Rovers victory away at bottom side Arbroath in the Scottish Championship.

Stanton's calm finish was enough for Ian Murray's side to record just their second away win of the season.

The Kirkcaldy club remain seventh, but are now five points clear of Hamilton in the relegation play-off place.

Dick Campbell's Arbroath, meanwhile, are three points adrift at the foot of the table with just one win all season.
