Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-1 Hamilton Academical: Visitors pull off shock victory
- Published
Inverness Caledonian Thistle missed the chance to go clear at the top of the Scottish Championship with a surprise defeat by Hamilton Academical.
Andy Winter's close-range strike stunned the hosts to halt their five-game winning streak in the league.
It also hauled Accies off the foot of the table and to within a point of Cove Rangers.
The victory is Hamilton's first since 27 August and stops a run of four straight defeats.
Winter could have doubled the scoreline in the second half as he raced into the box, but Inverness goalkeeper Mark Ridgers produced a huge save to keep that effort out.
The hosts upped the pressure late on with several shots blocked, while Steven Boyd went close, but his shot from inside the box was just over the bar.
