Arbroath earned their first Scottish Championship win of the season after beating Greenock Morton, who finished with 10 men.

Dale Hilson got them under way with an early goal, before Jai Quitongo twice went close for Morton at Cappielow.

The advantage was doubled before half-time through Michael McKenna's penalty.

Morton pulled one back in stoppage time when Lewis McGrattan tapped home from close range before Quitongo was dismissed after a second yellow card.

Arbroath remain bottom of the table, but both they and ninth-place Cove Rangers narrowed the gap on Hamilton in eighth to two points, and move to within three of Morton.
