Maidstone United 1-2 Chesterfield

Darren Oldaker's late winner rescued three points for league leaders Chesterfield as they beat Maidstone.

The Spireites remain a point ahead of Wrexham, while the Stones drop to 16th.

Sam Corne nearly put Maidstone in front early on with a low header, but was denied by Lucas Covolan's good save, and the goalkeeper was called into action again by Jack Barham.

Joe Quigley went close for Chesterfield, but his low shot went wide and the Stones had two chances from Barham and Christie Pattisson soon after.

Jeff King nearly scored from a free-kick after the break, but the deadlock was eventually broken with eight minutes left when Kabongo Tshimanaga found the bottom corner to put the Spireites ahead.

The hosts equalised just five minutes later when James Alabi's headed in off the inside of a post .

However, Chesterfield then snatched three points in stoppage-time when Oldaker slotted home from 12 yards.
