Bobby Linn scored his fourth goal of the season

Queen's Park missed the chance to go top of the Scottish Championship after Bobby Linn's second-half equaliser lifted Arbroath off the bottom.

Patrick Jarrett had fired the home team into the lead on the half-hour mark - the midfielder's first for the club.

But Linn shot the visitors level after an hour - the veteran forward's second goal in two games - at Ochilview Park.

It means Queen's stay fourth, behind three other sides on goal difference having played two games more.

Leaders Partick Thistle, Ayr United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle all play on Saturday.

The draw moves Arbroath above Hamilton Academical, who host Partick, on goal difference and four points behind Cove Rangers as they and Queen's Park each went three games without a victory.
