Simon Murray netted twice for an impressive Queen's Park

Queen's Park stormed back from behind to overcome Raith Rovers in a seven-goal Scottish Championship thriller and remain in the play-off positions.

Aidan Connolly's spectacular sixth and seventh goals of the season book-ended the visitors' five goals without reply.

Simon Murray's brace, Dom Thomas' two deflected strikes, and Jack Thomson's slotted finish make it back-to-back wins for Owen Coyle's side.

Queens remain in fourth in the second tier, while Raith slip to seventh.

Connolly's wonder goal from 25 yards out rocketed Raith into the lead but Murray's equally sweet free kick from over 20 yards will challenge it as the strike of the day.

Thomas' two deflected shots off Liam Dick, were sandwiched by Murray's close-range finish and Thomson's silky slot.

Connolly's dazzling solo second could not spark a come back for Raith, despite the hosts peppering Calum Ferrie's goal throughout.

Queens Park manager Owen Coyle: "I am so pleased with the level of performance because as I try to explain, we are not about the here and now, we are trying to build something that will have longevity at the club.

"We're delighted to come and score five goals, Raith Rovers could have scored a couple more as well, that game could have finished 10-6."
