England thrash Iran in World Cup opener
England got their World Cup campaign under way with a 6-2 victory over Iran as youngsters Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham starred.
Saka, who scored two goals, was voted as BBC Sport readers' player of the match with 8.23, just pipping Bellingham on 8.21.
England's lowest-rated player was defender Eric Dier, who replaced Harry Maguire after he went off as a precaution, with 5.87.
Mehdi Taremi, who scored both of Iran's goals, was the highest-rated of England's opponents with 5.6.
