I think if Twente had a bit better decision-making in the final third, they could find themselves 1-0 up at half-time.

As for hosts Twente, they spent most of the first half camped in their own defensive third (black circles on the position map below) but they managed to keep Chelsea at bay.

It would have been the perfect 45 minutes had full-back Leonie Vliek been able to take that huge chance after 11 minutes.

    HT: Twente 0-0 Chelsea

We had 11 goals across the two group games between these teams last season, 9 of which were scored by Chelsea.

They're missing that goal scoring touch so far tonight.

Twente should have scored early, but since then Chelsea have completely dominated. But they can't take their chances. If Chelsea get one goal, they'll get three or four.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:31 BST

    Twente 0-0 Chelsea

Somehow we're still goalless at the break.

    Twente 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea opt to go short from a free kick instead of launching it into the box and the ball is passed from side to side as the chance peters out.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:30 BST

    Twente 0-0 Chelsea

Alyssa Thompson has plenty of options in front of her but she decides to go on her own this time.

Twente shot stopper Diede Lemy parries the shot back into the middle but her defenders are there to mop up the danger.

I still can't believe that we ain't scored yet.

I reckon Sonia Bompastor will be reasonably happy with her side's display so far.

That said, she'd be even happier if they can nick the lead before the break.

Guro Reiten slides in Sandy Baltimore on the overlap but the cross is poor and Twente clear easily enough.

Chelsea are just lacking that final bit of quality at the minute.

Chelsea are dominating all the stats that matter bar one, goals.

It's not for the want of trying mind.

Fair play to Twente, they've got into Chelsea's faces and played on the front foot. But I think it's a matter of time before Chelsea score.

Can we have a mention for Scotland star Caroline Weir, who is captain of Real Madrid tonight in their tie against Roma? To top it off, she also has a goal.

    Miller

As Miller points out Caroline Weir is indeed leading by example for Las Blancas in the Spanish capital tonight.

They were 2-1 up against Roma thanks to the Scot's goal but the Italians have just equalised for a second time.

  15. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    Twente 0-0 Chelsea

Alyssa Thompson dances past her full-back on the right before whipping in a wicked cross right onto the head of Guro Reiten.

Reiten can't quite turn her header inside the back stick though.

Twente have their first foray into the Chelsea final third for the first time in a while but it comes to nothing as Dutch international Veerle Burman holds off several players to squash the danger.

As a Chelsea fan, if we want to finally win this competition, then some hard decisions have to be made if and when we face Barcelona. Certain players who you would think would be stalwarts (Bright, Walsh) might have to be dropped to get higher energy in the team.

Agreed, the hosts are defending their own final third well but they're not doing so well in possession.

They could do with holding onto the ball a bit more to relieve some of this heavy Chelsea pressure.

I think Twente have done a really good job defensively. They wait until Chelsea get to the halfway line and then they pressure them.

    That's disappointing.

Jill Roord's delivery into the box fails to find a Twente shirt and Sophie Proost smashes the rebound high into the stands behind Livia Peng's goal.
