Hamilton Academical moved off the foot of the Scottish Championship after victory at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle continued their upturn in form.

Daniel O'Reilly headed home to give the hosts the lead before Scott Allardice's finish levelled late in the first half.

But Hamilton regained the lead after the break when Connor Smith converted from the spot, earning a vital win.

The loss means Inverness, who had Billy Mckay sent off late, stay seventh.

As for Hamilton, John Rankin's side extend their unbeaten league run to five games and are now two points clear of Arbroath in bottom place.
