FA Cup highlights: Ipswich Town 4-1 Rotherham United

League One high-flyers Ipswich Town scored three times in the final 16 minutes to upset Championship side Rotherham in the FA Cup third round.

Goals from Cameron Humphreys, Conor Chaplin from the spot, Freddie Ladapo and a late Wes Burns penalty were enough to see the Tractor Boys through.

Conor Washington had briefly drawn the Millers level from the penalty spot two minutes into the second half.

Ipswich are in the draw for the fourth round for the first time in 13 years.

Despite dominating the first half, it took until the 43rd minute for Ipswich to take the lead when Humphreys stroked home after good work from Kayden Jackson and Ladapo.

The Millers drew level straight after half-time when Washington was brought down in the box by Richard Keogh and stepped up to send Vaclav Hladky the wrong way from the spot.

The Tractor Boys had a penalty of their own when Ladapo was dragged down by Wes Harding and Chaplin stepped up to put the home side in front.

Ladapo had a goal of his own minutes later, rounding Rotherham goalkeeper Viktor Johansson, who signed a new contract on Friday, before slotting in against his former club.

There was still time for Ipswich to add a fourth, with Burns smashing his spot-kick straight down the middle after Marcus Harness had been felled.

The Millers now turn their attention to their relegation battle and attempt to avoid sliding back into League One after just one season in the Championship.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk:

"I thought it was consistent with the performances across most of the season if I'm honest.

"From the outside perspective it maybe looks better because it's against a team who are competing in the Championship but for me our performances have been consistently high.

"I said I'm not using it as a massive marker, of course it's against a good team who have good players and the performance reflects well, but their level and how that reflects to other teams in our league, I'm not too interested in that.

"Manchester United or Tottenham, two of my ex clubs, are still in the draw so I always keep an eye on them but I just think it's nice to be in the draw, we're focused on the league but it's nice to have this as well."

Rotherham manager Matt Taylor told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"Up until the penalty I was relatively pleased in terms of where we were in the game, then obviously on the back of the second goal we capitulated and perhaps showed our lack of confidence at the moment.

"We're not shy of making mistakes but it's what happens off the back of that that matters, and our confidence is so low at the moment it seems to be punishing us.

"I've no other players to pick. If there's other players that can play in those positions and execute differently I'm yet to see them at the club, and that's no disrespect to the players we've got.

"I really want to be more direct than we are but we've got no physical body at the top end of the pitch. We've not turned into a passing team, I would love us to have a platform at the top end of the pitch but I've not got a fit, physical centre forward."
