Substitute Sam Dalby scored in stoppage time as Wrexham secured a dramatic and crucial win at Aldershot.

Paul Mulllin's two goals, including a penalty, put Wrexham in control before Olly Pendlebury replied.

A Mullin backheel was ruled to have come off Shots defender Corey Jordan for Wrexham's third before Jake Hutchinson scored Shots' second.

Jordan Tunnicliffe's own goal saw Aldershot draw level but Dalby headed Luke Young's corner in stoppage time.

Wrexham remain in second spot and five points behind Notts County - who won 4-1 at Yeovil Town - but have two games in hand over the leaders.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said:

"It was a good performance in many aspects for us. I thought we controlled the game with the ball in that first half as well as we've done for a while.

"We dominated but we conceded goals which from our own point of view we can do better, and we know that.

"In the second half I thought we've had enough chances to take the game out of sight. It's a big moment in our season after dropping points on Tuesday."
