Wrexham 3-1 Dorking Wanderers: Paul Mullin scores in comfortable home win

Wrexham increased the pressure on National League leaders Notts County with a 3-1 win over Dorking Wanderers.

Elliot Lee's spectacular finish gave Wrexham the lead after 12 minutes before top scorer Paul Mullin doubled the lead before half-time.

Sam Dalby added Wrexham's third 10 minutes after the break before James Muitt headed a consolation for Dorking.

Victory moves Wrexham two points behind Notts County, while Dorking drop to 20th.

Notts County's shock home defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge later on Saturday means Wrexham, who have two games in hand on the Magpies, will go top of the table if they win at home to Chesterfield on Tuesday night.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson:

"We're very pleased. We know how Dorking play. They are a very open team. They can score but they concede chances.

"We could have scored a lot of goals. We only got three, and we possibly could have had more but it is another good win for us.

"It was great for Elliot to get that goal for us, I was really pleased with that. All in all, there were some really solid performances."
