Walsall 0-0 Bradford City

Draw specialists Walsall could not capitalise despite having the bulk of the play in a 0-0 draw with promotion-chasing Bradford in League Two.

The hosts shared the spoils for the seventh time in eight outings having failed to create clear chances from plenty of promising moments.

Tom Knowles was influential on the right and from long throws early on but Bradford nearly struck first in the 25th minute, top scorer Andy Cook's looping header from Brad Halliday's ball from the right kissing the face of the bar.

It was livelier from there with the Saddlers still edging matters and while Conor Wilkinson and Isaac Hutchinson stung the palms of Bradford keeper Harry Lewis, the hosts were kept at arm's length.

The second half followed a similar trend with Walsall applying pressure up to the hour mark before Bradford began to retain possession more, albeit with an equal lack of punch in the final third.

Knowles flashed in a swirling cross that just evaded substitute Douglas James-Taylor 10 minutes from time, while City defender Sam Stubbs headed over when well placed from a corner deep into added time.
