Cove's Leighton McIntosh is denied by the crossbar

Queen's Park extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship to five points after a late own goal edged out Cove Rangers.

Aaron Healy, who came off the bench two minutes earlier, delivered a cross that hit Morgyn Neill and ended in the net.

Both sides had struck the post in search of a breakthrough, with the hosts' Euan Henderson denied when sent through one-on-one by Dom Thomas.

Cove's Leighton McIntosh headed against the upright and hit the crossbar.

Paul Hartley's men remain a point clear of second-bottom Arbroath and two above Hamilton, with both Cove and Queen's Park now having played a game more than the rest of the division.
