Ben Davies has withdrawn from the Wales squad for Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia because of injury.

Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has also withdrawn from the squad and returns to Nottingham Forest, while Brennan Johnson requires further assessment.

Defender Morgan Fox, goalkeeper Tom King, and forwards Liam Cullen and Mark Harris come into the squad.

Wales face Croatia in Split on Saturday before taking on Latvia in Cardiff three days later.

Davies, 29, was substituted during Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League draw at Southampton last Saturday with a suspected hamstring problem.

The defender was named vice-captain by Robert Page when the Wales squad was announced earlier this month.

His absence is a significant blow as Wales prepare for their first action since last year's World Cup.

Fox, 29, is uncapped having previously played for the Wales Under-21 side.

Danny Ward and Adam Davies are the two other goalkeepers still in the squad. Both were unused substitutes for their teams over the weekend.

Ward was dropped for Leicester City's game with Brentford, replaced by Dane Daniel Iversen who made his Premier League debut.

Former Newport County keeper King, also uncapped, joined Northampton Town from League Two rivals Salford in January.

Cardiff City forward Harris has five caps to his name having made his debut in September 2021 against Belarus.

Swansea striker Cullen also comes into the squad, following his goal against Bristol City on the weekend.

The 23-year-old is now the seventh player in Page's squad who could make their debut in the upcoming window.
