Liverpool remained a point behind West Ham after they played out a goalless draw in the Women's Super League.
Dagny Brynjarsdottir had a great chance in the opening stages for West Ham but headed over the bar from close range after Lisa Evans' cross.
During a bright spell for Liverpool, Yana Daniels struck the post, in part because of the presence of onrushing West Ham keeper Mackenzie Arnold.
Arnold was also alert to tip a Emma Koivisto lob attempt over the bar.
The Hammers were able to halt a run of three consecutive defeats but the wait continues for their first WSL win of the year.
Matt Beard's Liverpool side tried to create opportunities from set-pieces with Megan Campbell's long throw often causing trouble in the West Ham box.
Arnold was kept busy throughout the match and repelled efforts from Daniels and Katie Stengel.
Both Evans and Viviane Asseyi were flagged for offside while in promising positions for the home side.
Reds substitute Shanice van de Sanden had a chance after going through on the right but her driven shot sailed over the bar.
In the dying seconds of the game, van de Sanden's cutback was met by Stengel but Grace Fisk made a vital interception to ensure West Ham kept their point.
Liverpool have now failed to score in eight of their 16 games, with only Leicester City drawing a blank more often in the WSL this season.
West Ham's next fixture is against Manchester City on 23 April (18:45 BST), while Liverpool face Brighton earlier in the day (14:00).
