Ayr United 1-0 Raith Rovers: Hosts move into play-off spot with game to go
- Published
Frankie Musonda's header against Raith Rovers propelled Ayr United into the Championship promotion play-off places.
The centre-back powered the ball into the top left corner to net against his former club.
Sam Ashford had earlier hit the post from 20 yards, and Rovers goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald tipped over to deny Dipo Akinyemi.
Raith had only been able to name two substitutes because of injuries and suspensions.
The victory takes Lee Bullen's side into fourth place and the Honest Men travel to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday to try and secure a play-off spot.
