Jasper Moon: Burton Albion re-sign Barnsley defender on permanent deal

Burton Albion have signed Barnsley defender Jasper Moon for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal following his successful loan spell last season.
Moon, 22, played 18 times last term, helping the Brewers steer clear of relegation trouble in League One.
"It's great to be back. There was a lot of personal growth before," Moon said., external
"We had a brilliant team and I've seen the additions [boss] Dino [Maamria] has brought into the team and it's made me want to come back even more."
Maamria said the deal for Moon was one the club "worked really hard on".
"Jasper is a player we know really well and the chairman has been great in making it happen," he said.
"He settled in really well when he came in January and played a massive part in the turn of last season and we're delighted to beat other people to his signature.
"He's a player for now and for the future. He's at a great age and he's a brilliant guy to have in the dressing room."
New deal for Hamer
Moon is the eighth new signing this summer for Burton, who have also announced defender Tom Hamer has signed a new two-year contract at the Pirelli Stadium.
The 23-year-old has played 115 games for the Brewers since joining them from Oldham Athletic in January 2021.
He can operate in either full-back role and has seven goals for the club.
"Tom had interest elsewhere but after a lot of conversations but he decided that this is the best place to spend the next two years of his career," said Maamria.
