York City 0-1 Kidderminster Harriers

Amari Morgan-Smith headed a late winner to earn Kidderminster a narrow National League victory at York.

Morgan-Smith pounced in the 83rd minute at the LNER Community Stadium to head the ball in off the bar following a Joe Leesley corner.

The visitors had the better of the first-half chances, Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain heading just wide at the far post from Caleb Richards' left-wing cross.

York goalkeeper David Stockdale also beat away a fierce effort from Morgan-Smith, who spun and shot after finding space in the area.

Adam Crookes headed narrowly wide at the other end before Kidderminster missed a golden chance on the stroke of half-time.

Morgan-Smith cut the ball back for Zak Brown, who looked set to score, only for Levi Andoh to deflect his shot behind.

The visitors finally broke the deadlock when York failed to clear a Leesley corner and Morgan-Smith forced the ball past Stockdale and over the line via the underside of the bar.

Kouhyar drew a good save from Christian Dibble as York sought a leveller, but it did not come and they slumped to a second straight defeat.
