  • Published

Sam Stanton's header helped Raith Rovers get the better of Fife rivals Dunfermline Athletic in their first Scottish Championship meeting of the season.

Stanton put the visitors in front nine minutes before half-time.

Rhys Breen and Ewan Otoo threatened a leveller for Dunfermline in the second half.

Stanton tried to double his and Rovers' tally, his effort saved by Harrison Sharp.

Raith and Dundee United are on seven points - three ahead of Dunfermline and two below Queen's Park, who have played a game more.
